We went to Cannon Beach on Saturday..

He was so happy his head nearly popped off

We ran and threw rocks in the surf..

Waited for just the right wave..

Which hit him in the face..

And he slept like a rock all the way home. I think Bridgey
probably had as much fun as a 2 year old can handle.

Nothing like waking up from a nap and having a bright shiny
table waiting for you!

Lucky me!

Happy Birthday to Bridger! Birthday Hanukkah continues around here! Today we went to Peanut Butter and Ellie's for birthday lunch and fun. It is an awesome restaurant where kids can be crazy. Sort of like Chucky Cheese without the freaky mouse.

Bridger and Scout spent tons of time at the train table with very few altercations.

Taking a breather in the outdoor area.

This evening we went to Donna and Eileen's for Birthday Supper. Instead of cake Donna made yummy blueberry muffins. Bridger pretty much skipped the lasagna I made and stuffed his face with these (honestly, I don't blame him).

Donna and Eileen put together a wonderful album consisting of memories of the last year.

Finally getting the hang of this present thing. I wonder what it could be?

Joe stopped by to partake in the festivities.

It's pretty great being two.

Words cannot express how lucky we feel. This past year zoomed by and we have loved watching our little man grow up. Every morning I still get butterflies going into his room because I am so excited to spend another day with my little man. I know at this point he couldn't possibly understand how honored and privileged I feel to be his mom, hopefully I show him through the zurbets, "hokey pokies," and hours of singing. He has made our lives so much richer and has transformed Kyle and I from a couple to our sweet little family. Thank you Bridger, we love you to the moon and back.

Saturday turned out perfectly! Bridger's birthday party was a success. It didn't rain and Bridger seemed to have a great time. It is amazing how may friends this little man has made in such a short time. Here is a photo of the pre-festivity party setting.

Kyle looking enthused to partake in the action.

Can there really be a 2-year-old birthday bash without the bubbles?

I think not.

This is my favorite shot of the day. We are so darn lucky!

Bridger was enthralled with the musician. Johnny Keener rocks!

Bridger and Riley in a music-induced coma.

Bridger taking a break from hard-core partying to smell the flowers.

Waiting patiently for the cakes and debating whether this thing on his head is ok.

Bridger deciding weather the candles are edible.

I can't believe we didn't get a shot of Bridger and Scout's individual cakes! Hopefully somebody else did. Here is a shot of the cupcakes everyone enjoyed. They turned out pretty ok. We are looking forward to Bridger-Scout-fest next year!

We took part in my favorite Portland activity last night. We went to Sauvie Island for an outdoor concert with Scout and her family. It is on a beautiful farm and there is tons of fresh produce and it is a wonderful place to be a kid or an adult.

Scout with her trademark scowl.

Bridger sporting a blackberry mouth.

The Buckles played, they are very snazzy.

Dancin' machines!

Bridger loved checking out what was going on behind the scenes, while Scout got to know her belly button better.

You have got to love throwing hay.

It was so fun that even mommas get up and shake it! A good time was had by all!

Bridger has become quite the artist and has started to draw his interpretations of things.

He says there is a "sun" in there somewhere...

Jammin'/New Dubs on the wagon

Jammin' with Mama. Bridger prefers the 6 string over the ukelele.
Notice the pick in his hand. He is that serious.

After jammin', we stripped him for his bath.

But he still had a little fire in him. Notice the shirt being
thrown.

We put new 17" dubs on the VW. Traci says it looks a bit ghetto.
I say it gives my 35 year old white arse instant street cred.
